The Art of Loving on Yourself ๐

Self-love can show up in a multitude of ways. Whether it is cleaning your space or indulging in your favorite sweets from the bakery down the street, whatever brings you peace, joy, and makes your feel exhilarated is self-love.
I have been on the journey of loving on myself for a while and each day is better than the last. Affirming words and embracing flaws is all a part of the adventure. Discovering ways that speak to you are key, and what works for me might not work for you. Tapping into my inner-child and finding joy in the mundane has been essential on my path. The actions listed below things are things I do often and are great ways to get started on your own journey. This is self-love.
Yoga/Movement
Hiking, stretching, or anything that moves my body always seems to bring me peace.
Solo Trips
Traveling by yourself is the ultimate way to find yourself. Whether itโs to the next city over or across the world, taking time for yourself is self-preservation.
A Good Read
A book that leaves you better than when you began is transformative.
Shopping
Retail therapy. It just works.
Catching a Sunset/Sunrise
Thereโs something so primal about watching the sunset.
Bubble Bath
If thereโs nothing else you take from this post, I highly recommend sparing an hour (or 30 minutes) of soaking in a bubble bath. Put your phone on DND, grab a glass of wine, light a candle, and put on your favorite playlist. This is truly bliss.
Attend a Concert
Exhilaration at its finest.
Being in Nature
Thereโs no better way to connect with yourself and disconnect from the world.
