The Future of Art

Art

November 27, 2022

It’s another art entry! Today I will briefly discuss the importance of sustainable art. This topic has always been in the back of my mind but it really sparked when I came across Oceansole, a brand dedicated to turning trash into treasure, and into art.

I have a background in both sustainability and in art and trying to combine the two is something I have been trying to do more often than not. So, what exactly is sustainable art? KeiSei Magazine defines it as "Art made using sustainable materials and methods, or art that encourages conservation on sustainability."

Now, you might ask why this is important. It's simple. Sustainable art progresses into a sustainable future. A sustainable future is a key to environmental balance and restoration. And this in turn is key to correcting our wrongs for generations.

There is sooo much intricacy to this topic that a simple blog post won't suffice (I am writing a term paper about the subject!) but I wanted to shed light on the topic in general.

It is important to view art with the same significance as any other sustainable movement because it holds just as much weight.

Until next time.
