The Joy of Domestic Travel
Washington, USA
November 20, 2021
The joy of traveling has been instilled in me from a very young age. As an American, I feel that people take our great country for granted in the sense of scenery and great places to tour. Personally, there are so many states, cities, and national parks and monuments that I yearn to visit (Chicago, Alaska, Grand Canyon, Salt Lake City, Hawaii, etc.) and want to experience. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love a good passport stamp and a new cultural encounter, but on my travel bucket list, many places are in the USA and I’m not mad at it. Skipping customs and extremely long flights are some pros that coincide with traveling domestically, but being able to experience breathtaking views in your own backyard is the icing on the cake. This past year my domestic travel agenda reigned supreme as I visited Santa Catalina, CA; Charlotte, NC; Savannah, GA; Nashville, TN; Dover, DE; and New Orleans, LA and those have been some of the best trips I’ve taken. I truly enjoy a good domestic flight and different state adventures. Until next time.
