Black Fashion Through the Years

Happy Black History Month! The impact that black fashion has on me influences not only my wardrobe but also who I am. Whether it is the berets of the Black Panthers or the psychedelic print of the 70s, I must say, I love it all.

One of my favorite categories of black fashion incorporates film and TV shows of the 90s and 2000s. Living Single, Martin, A Different World, Fresh Prince, & Eve's costume designers deserved raises! Watching these shows and movies of these times really inspires what I wear and how I wear it. Take a look at some of these looks:

Though the images don’t hold a candle to the evolution of the black fashion scene, you can’t tell me these photos aren’t badass!! I mean come on! This entry is to simply shed light on our style and how we’ve always (and continue) to have it going on! Remember Black History is every day! I am black history and so are you. Until next time.
